A ceremony for Republic Day was held at the university

M. Auezov South Kazakhstan University hosted a ceremony to mark the 35th anniversary of the adoption of the Declaration of State Sovereignty on 25 October. Deputies of the Shymkent City Maslikhat, representatives of the 'Amanat' party, faculty members and students attended the celebration.
This day symbolises the revival of the centuries-old traditions of Kazakh statehood — it is the day when our ancestors' dream of freedom became a reality. In his speech, the university's Chairman of the Board and Rector, Darkhan Ahmed-Zaki, highlighted the importance of this national holiday and congratulated everyone present on Republic Day.
During the event, several of the university’s scholars and staff members were recognised for their significant contributions to national scientific research and higher education. They were awarded Certificates of Honour and Letters of Appreciation from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as the Honorary Diploma 'Best Worker in the System of Higher and Postgraduate Education' and the Badge 'For Contribution to the Development of Science'. Letters of appreciation were also presented on behalf of the 'Amanat' party and the Akim of Shymkent.
Concluding the festive celebrations was a concert programme featuring talented students and performers presenting patriotic songs and dances, impressing the audience with their performances.
