Project monitoring STUDIK.

November 3, 2015 was held monitoring of the project 516802-TEMPUS-1-2011-1-KZ-TEMPUS-SMGR «student government and democratic participation in Kazakhstan" (STUDIK). The main purpose of monitoring - to promote the successful implementation of the project. During the meeting, participants voiced the problems identified weaknesses and strengths, spoke about the achievements.
The event was held on the basis of the Abylay Khan Kazakh University of International Relations and World Languages (Almaty). The results of the project as satisfactory.

 

           

In South Kazakhstan State University is actively realized project TEMPUS programs 516802-TEMPUS-1-2011-1-KZ-TEMPUS-SMGR Student self-government and democratic participation in Kazakhstan (STUDIK).

The purpose of the project STUDIK  is to improve public activity of students in the higher education sector by enabling them to organize their own self-governing structures - based on democratic principles student associations whose aim is to develop their own strategies and participate in decision-making at their universities. The overall objective is to impart training in the basics and skills of democratic governance among students to strengthen the democratic culture of the society in the long term.

The project participants are universities and youth organizations from Kazakhstan, Germany, Austria, Latvia and Lithuania.

The project provides the creation of carrying out Web site and network of the student movement, the organization of seminars and workshops for students and administrative staff, as well as the selection of equipment for the efficient operation of  the project.  Participation in the project STUDIK  will promote communication of students from Kazakhstan and European countries, it will help developing partnerships between students and the University leadership and democratization of  governance at the university.

From 8 to 13 June 2015 on the basis of the Gumilev Eurasian National University  held a final meeting of Tempus project coordinators "Students self-government and democratic participation in Kazakhstan - STUDIK."  SKSU  was represented by the project coordinator Lyudmila Kulakova and activist student government Kuanish Nurlyislam.  During  the event, presented reports on the stages and results of the project in Kazakhstan and foreign universityes discussed issues of sustainability of the project.

  

In the period from 4 to 6 March 2013 was the first meeting of the coordinators of the project STUDIK at the Technical University of Dresden (Germany). The meeting was attended by representatives of 22 Kazakh and European universities and student organizations. During the meeting was discussed the plan and stages of the project, presentations and participating universities signed Mandate Amendment.

In April-May 2013 in  M. Auezov SKSU was conducted selection of students to participate in training sessions on student self - government in Dresden -  Riga  within the project STUDIK, candidates for training are: Dosmakhanbet Gulsezim and Makhmut Aray, 3 course students of specialty "Chemical technology of organic substances."

University allocated office number 107 (main building), which is equipped with furniture, office equipment, there is a telephone and internet access for the student self-government, in which students can meet, discuss issues and propose new ideas for the development of student self-government in SKSU.

May 24, 2013 on the basis of Almaty University of International Business was STUDIK project monitoring, which was attended by all the partner universities of the project and representatives of the National Tempus Office in Kazakhstan Tasbulatova Shaizada and Tankibaeva Mereke. In general, the activities of the project was found to be satisfactory.

The second meeting of the coordinators was held in Almaty from 17 to 19 October 2013 at the University of  International Business (UIB) in Almaty. During the meeting they discussed the current problems and the ways of achieving the objectives of the project. Published a compendium describing the experience of the student self-government in the European and Kazakh universities.

 

As part of  the training, participants met with the students exercising  the process of self-government  in TUD and BOKU, familiarized with the structure and organization of student government and received a certificate of participation.

March 27, 2014 there was a regular Skype conference of the project STUDIK. There was discussed preparations for training students in Dresden, Riga, prepare the interim report on the project, the creation of web pages of student organizations Kazakh partner institutions and the implementation of plans.

From 13 to 16 October 2014 in M. Auezov South Kazakhstan State University take place 3 meeting of the coordinators of the project 516802-TEMPUS-1-2011-1-KZ-TEMPUS-SMGR STUDIK program TEMPUS. Participants of the meeting: representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science of Kazakhstan, foreign and Kazakh universities, student organizations. During the meeting, the sides discussed issues on the status of the project to date and held a round table on problems of improving the legal framework of the student government in Kazakhstan.



In M. Auezov South Kazakhstan State University the system of student self-government has been functioning since 2002. It is managed by Student Council.

Student self-government realizes important functions of student life organization.

Student activists are members of Rector Council and Academic Council of university.

On the 20th day of every month in university the Student Self-governance Day is held, when students manage the academic and educational processes.

For development of cooperation and exchange the culture of the student of different nationalities on the base of students group of activists Small Assembly of SKSU nations was created. In 2012 it was named as Dostyk club, which consists of 29 nations. Political direction of Dostyk club in SKSU is provision of equal rights on development of self culture, saving mother language, traditions and customs.

Election of the student organization chairman  and student rector has become a very important achievement of student self governance. In September 2014 the election of student rector was held. The rector was elected by open vote. The student of 2nd course of Construction-mechanical Faculty was elected.

Since January 1st, 2013 in the university STUDIK project is realized. In the frameworks of the project two students of SKSU Aray Makhmut and Gulsezim Dosmukhambet were directed to trainings in Europe devoted to student self governance experience study. After trainings Aray and Gulsezim held a seminar for other members of SKSU self-governance and gave the information about self governance in Dresden technical University (Dresden, Germany) and ISMA Yniversity (Riga, Latvia).

In Student self-governance structure the members of «TEMPUS-STUDIK» project are: Student rector – Bagdat Batyrbayev, student dean of Agro-industrial faculty – Aknur Raiymbekova and activists – Aray Makhmut, Gulsezim Dosmakhambet, Mansur Sharasulov, Rustam Kochkarov – responsible for project site.

On January 15, 2015 for work of student self-governance the following equipment was received: 5 computers, 1 notebook, 2 projector, server. The equipment was put to the university balance and placed in the office of student self-governance.

On January 28, 2015 in the office of  of student self-governance by STUDIK team the conference was organized, devoted to dissemination of the experience of student self-governance and information about STUDIK project. In the conference the Committee on youth of South-Kazakhstan State pedagogical Institute and Miras University took part.
