Maxim Skazobtsov wins silver at the Asian Aquatics Championships

Maxim Skazobtsov, a Sport and Tourism Faculty student (group ST-24-3R1) at M. Auezov South Kazakhstan University, as well as an international master of sport in swimming, achieved an outstanding result at the 2025 Asian Aquatics Championships held in Ahmedabad, India. Competiting for Kazakhstan, he achieved remarkable results at this prestigious event, which brought together over 1,100 athletes from 25 countries.
He claimed the silver medal in the men’s 100-metre butterfly, finishing in 52.66 seconds.
This is one of the most significant achievements in the history of Kazakhstan's aquatic sports. By competing alongside Asia’s strongest swimmers and stepping onto the winners’ podium, Maxim has made his country and university proud.
