«Artificial intelligence and digitalisation – a national idea»

In his Address to the People of Kazakhstan today, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev emphasised the importance of developing artificial intelligence (AI). In his speech, “Kazakhstan in the Age of Artificial Intelligence: Current Challenges and Their Solutions through Digital Transformation”, he stressed that digitalisation and AI are strategic priorities for the country’s future.
In this context, M. Auezov South Kazakhstan University organised a meeting with students on the subject "Artificial Intelligence and Digitalization – A National Idea". Nurlybek Zhumatayev, Associate Professor in the Department of Computing Systems and Software at the Higher School of Information Technology and Energy, presented his views on the current state and future prospects of AI.
He encouraged students to be among the first to master modern technologies and study AI in depth, as well as applying it in practice. According to Zhumatayev, AI is already becoming the key tool for specialists, and acquiring knowledge in this field is an absolute necessity.
