Congratulations to Alexandr Sergeyevich Kolesnikov, Corresponding Member of the International Academy of Sciences for Ecology and Human Safety, Candidate of Technical Sciences and Professor in the Department of 'Life Safety and Environmental Protection' at M. Auezov South Kazakhstan University, on his scientific recognition and ranking 29th among the top 50 most cited scientists in Kazakhstan in the field of chemical sciences according to Web of Science for the period 2020–2024.

This ranking is based on the normalised citation index per author within the second-level classifier of scientific fields. It includes researchers who have published the largest number of articles and reviews in high-impact journals indexed in the Web of Science database. The ranking considered publications where the scientist was the first or corresponding author, and in cases of equal indicators, the total number of scientific works was considered.

Professor Kolesnikov's contribution to the development of chemical science has long been widely recognised in Kazakhstan and abroad. We wish Professor Kolesnikov continued success and new achievements.
