Prospects of bilateral cooperation with the University of Poitiers discussed

Today, Kazakhstan and France continue to strengthen their ties in science and higher education. In a recent meeting, the M. Auezov South Kazakhstan University held discussions with the University of Poitiers, one of France's leading academic institutions, to explore future opportunities for cooperation. The Poitiers delegation was warmly welcomed by the Chairman of the Board and Rector of the University, Darkhan Ahmed-Zaki.
During the meeting, Darkhan Ahmed-Zaki mentioned the longstanding friendship between Auezov University and France, which began in 2003 with the opening of a French study room on the university’s campus. Since then, the initiative has grown considerably. Today, the French Alliance in Shymkent offers young people and local residents the opportunity to learn the French language and discover French culture. The Rector also briefed the guests on the university’s scientific achievements, its standing in global rankings, and its international partnerships.
The University of Poitiers delegation, together with Faculty Deans and Heads of Departments, discussed the next steps in the development of bilateral inter-faculty cooperation. Both institutions expressed their commitment to improving the quality of education and expanding opportunities for joint scientific research at the international level.
