Kazakhstan–China Academic and Scientific Partnership Strengthens: Auezov University and Fudan University Sign Cooperation Agreement

M. Auezov South Kazakhstan University and Fudan University (PRC) signed a Memorandum of Cooperation within the framework of the international forum “Strengthening Academic Exchange and Cooperation in Science, Education, and Innovation Between Kazakhstan and Chinese Universities”.
On 18 November 2025, the international forum “Strengthening Academic Exchange and Cooperation in Science, Education, and Innovation Between Kazakhstan and Chinese Universities” was held at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University in Almaty, with the participation of representatives from Fudan University (PRC).
During the forum, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between M. Auezov South Kazakhstan University and Fudan University, confirming the parties’ intention to strengthen cooperation in scientific, educational, and innovation areas, including chemical engineering and information and communication technologies.
Fudan University is one of the world’s leading research universities, known for its strong academic school, advanced research infrastructure, and high international reputation. For M. Auezov South Kazakhstan University, this partnership represents a strategically important step aimed at enhancing the quality of human capital training, expanding research capacity, and deepening international integration.
A separate area of discussion focused on cooperation with technology parks. Both sides expressed interest in exchanging experience in developing innovation ecosystems, supporting startup initiatives of students and young researchers, and establishing platforms for joint technological projects and pilot solutions. Opportunities for implementing joint acceleration programs, launching applied-research laboratories, and operating project groups in a “research-to-market” format are under consideration.
