YOUNG ARTISTS OF SHYMKENT SHOWCASED THEIR CREATIVE TALENT AT THE “QAZAN FEST” COMPETITION

Today, at the Faculty of Culture and Art of M. Auezov South Kazakhstan University, a student creative competition titled “Qazan Fest” was held at the initiative of the Department of Fine Arts and Design.
This year, the traditional event was dedicated to the 60th anniversary of Medeubek Zhumatayuly Tangirbergenov — Academician of the Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Academician of the Turkistan branch of the Kazakhstan Art Academy, Professor, member of the Designers Union of Kazakhstan, and Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences.
More than 120 students from various universities and colleges of Shymkent took part in the young artists’ competition. The event was attended by Sadybek Beisenbayev, Vice-Rector for Public Relations and Culture of the University, as well as well-known artists and students.
During the opening ceremony, the Dean of the Faculty of Culture and Art, M. Zhumatayuly, emphasized the importance of the competition, noting that it helps foster students’ interest in fine arts and strengthens collaboration among participants.
The contestants successfully reflected the richness and beauty of autumn in their works on the themes “Fruits and Berries,” “Autumn Flowers,” and “Autumn Harvest,” demonstrating their remarkable artistic skills.
Vice-Rector for Public Relations and Culture S. Beisenbayev expressed his gratitude to the talented young artists and presented awards to the winners.
Competition results:
1st place — Kanagat Yergaliuly (M. Auezov South Kazakhstan University);
2nd place — Altynai Sergazina and Anastasia Shushunova (M. Auezov SKU);
3rd place — Asylzat Bekadilova (Shymkent University), Aida Abdussaliyeva (M. Auezov SKU), Dana Adilkhan (A. Kasteev College of Art and Design).
In addition, for their original artworks, Anastasia Anishchenko (M. Auezov SKU) and Ayana Kabyl (A. Kasteev College of Art and Design) were awarded the “Best Painter” diploma.
The winners received letters of appreciation and monetary prizes.
