International Scientific and Practical Conference Dedicated to the 80th Anniversary of Educator and Scholar Asma Kalybekova

Today, M. Auezov South Kazakhstan University hosted an international scientific and practical conference entitled 'The Precious Heritage of Kazakh National Education' to celebrate the 80th anniversary of educator and scholar Asma Akhmetovna Kalybekova. She is an academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Pedagogical Academy of Sciences of Kazakhstan and the International Academy of Psychological Sciences. She is also a doctor of pedagogical sciences and a professor.
The conference brought together leading scholars and public figures from Saint Petersburg, Turkey and Uzbekistan, as well as professors, lecturers and students from universities across Kazakhstan. The event was attended by public figures Beket Turgaraev and Kenzhekhan Tolebaev, as well as poetess Khanbibi Esenkarakyzy — laureate of the international literary prize "Alash" and recipient of the "Parasat" and "Barys" orders.
The Acting Chairman of the Board and Rector of the University, Yernar Imangaliuly, congratulated the guests and participants of the conference, wishing them productive work. The Deputy Akim of Shymkent, Sarsen Kuranbek, also greeted the attendees and delivered best wishes from the city's Akim, Gabit Syzdykbekov.

Asma Akhmetovna has dedicated many years to studying the educational culture of the Kazakh people and the national system of upbringing. She has studied forgotten customs and traditions, substantiated their significance from a scientific perspective and suggested ways to apply them in modern educational processes. Her work contributes significantly to the revival of national values and the moral and spiritual education of the younger generation.
