“Taza Qazaqstan”: Scientists and industry representatives discussed key issues of the transition to alternative energy

Today, M. Auezov South Kazakhstan University held a roundtable discussion on 'Reducing Energy Consumption and Transitioning to Renewable Sources' as part of the 'Taza Qazaqstan' initiative.
Representatives of regional energy companies, including Asia Trafo, Ontustik Zharyk Transit, GASYR Energy Construction, Shardara HPP and 3-Energoortalyk, attended the event alongside scientists, young researchers and students from the university's Higher School of Information Technology and Energy. The discussion covered the scientific, technical and economic aspects of transitioning to alternative energy sources.
In his speech, the Acting Rector of the University, Yernar Imangaliyev, emphasised that research by Kazakh scientists in the fields of solar and wind power, nuclear energy development, and natural resource conservation contributes significantly to solving urgent challenges. He added that the scientific work carried out at Auezov University aims to strengthen the country’s energy security.

Associate Professor, PhD Gulmira Turymbetova — “Transition to Renewable Energy Sources: A Modern Challenge in Energy”;
Doctor of Technical Sciences and Professor Ilyas Batkaev — “Explicit and Hidden Effects of Using Renewable Energy Sources: A Look into the Future”;
Associate Professor and Candidate of Technical Sciences Ryskul Ilyasov — “Comparison of Energy and Economic Parameters of Nuclear Power and Renewable Energy Sources”;
PhD Gulmira Sakhmetova — “Scientific and Technical Aspects of Introducing Biogas Plants for Energy Saving and Sustainable Development”.
Students A. Dinmukhamed, D. Koishyamanov and A. Kenzhaliev also presented their green energy research projects, sharing innovative solutions aimed at creating environmentally friendly and cost-effective solar and wind power technologies.
The discussion focused on the importance of developing green energy and efficiently using renewable resources. Collaborative efforts in this area were regarded as a significant step towards advancing green energy, which is one of the primary objectives of the “Taza Qazaqstan” initiative.
