An important meeting aimed at promoting graduate employment was held at M. Auezov South Kazakhstan University. The event was organised by the Centre for Entrepreneurship and Partnership under the Department of Science and Entrepreneurship.

The meeting was attended by two invited guests: the General Director of Shymkent Invest LLP, D. T. Ziyatbekov, and the Director of the Labour Mobility Centre of the Shymkent City Akimat, B. M. Arkabaev. Representing the university were the heads of various departments: B.M. Smailov (Director of the Department of Science and Entrepreneurship), H.A. Abshenov (Director of the Department of Scientific Research), B.K. Asylbekov (Director of the Department of Scientific Projects and Programmes), N.Zh. Zhanabay; the Director of the Career Support and Employment Centre, T. S. Aubakirova; and other specialists.

During the discussions, representatives of the university and the industrial sector considered effective forms of cooperation. In particular, the agenda covered the organisation of student internships, the employment of graduates, support for start-up projects and the commercialisation and financing of scientific research through business.

As a result of the meeting, the parties agreed to implement large-scale joint projects and further strengthen the partnership between the university and enterprises. This step is expected to give new momentum to the region's innovative development.
