On 1 September, M. Auezov South Kazakhstan University held a festive celebration to celebrate Knowledge Day. The event was attended by honoured guests, veteran educators, faculty members and students.

Acting Rector Yernar Imangaliev gave a welcome speech. He highlighted the university’s achievements and emphasised that:

'Knowledge Day is important for both teachers, who have dedicated themselves to science and education, and young people, who are striving to bring their dreams to life. May the new academic year bring new discoveries and bold endeavors," he said, congratulating everyone.

In the 2025–2026 academic year, more than 5,500 students enrolled at the university. Among them were 2,861 recipients of state educational grants and 219 school graduates who had been awarded  Altyn Belgi and had chosen to continue their studies at the university. Former schoolchildren, now university students, received the symbolic Key of Knowledge and their student ID cards yesterday.

After the official ceremony, the celebrations continued with a vibrant concert programme, concluding with fireworks. For students, this day became truly memorable and was full of positive emotions.
