The Growing Demand for Online Courses: Why you should consider enrolling
- Hits: 31
In today's rapidly changing educational landscape in Kazakhstan, online courses are becoming increasingly popular. It’s easy to see why: they offer flexible scheduling and the convenience of learning from anywhere. Unlike traditional classes, online learning gives you the freedom to choose when, where and for how long you study. Courses are delivered via video lessons, webinars, interactive platforms and other digital tools.
Our university’s Centre for Continuing Education is keeping pace with current trends and actively expanding its online offerings. Courses on inclusive education, modern teaching technologies, digital literacy, online instruction methodology and other relevant subjects are conducted online in a format that is convenient for learners. This flexibility is particularly valuable for working professionals who wish to further their education and develop their skills without taking time out of their careers.
The teaching team consists of university professors and lecturers who have experience in online instruction. The effective use of information and communication technologies by both instructors and participants is key to ensuring the quality of the educational process.
Here’s what some of the participants had to say:
Manzura Dzhamalovna Kamalova, Associate Professor at Mirzo Ulugbek National University of Uzbekistan:
“Online courses are a great way to continue learning when time is limited. This year, I’m completing a professional development course at M. Auezov University. We spent two weeks studying in person, and now we’re continuing online. This format is very convenient — it allows me to learn without stepping away from my main responsibilities.”
Sabina Erturekizy Aldabergenova, a librarian at the centralised children's library system in Shymkent, said:
“I work at a children's library and recently completed an online professional development course. Technical literacy is crucial in this field. During the course, I had the opportunity to learn about the various departments of the university’s Information and Education Centre, including book storage, scientific and bibliographic services, support for technical and humanities disciplines, new technologies and library development. It was a very valuable experience.”
The Center for Continuing Education plans to expand its efforts further and introduce more short-term online courses covering a wide range of topics.
