THE REGIONAL DIRECTOR OF QS FOR CENTRAL ASIA AND EASTERN EUROPE VISITS THE UNIVERSITY

On 20 May 2025, M. Auezov South Kazakhstan University welcomed Sergey Vladimirovich Khristolyubov, the Regional Director of QS Quacquarelli Symonds for Central Asia and Eastern Europe, for an official visit.
During his visit, Mr Khristolyubov met with the university’s management team, led by the Chairman of the Board and Rector, Darkhan Ahmed-Zaki. The meeting focused on ways to strengthen the university's cooperation with QS, including plans for joint initiatives and participation in the QS World University Rankings, the Asia University Rankings, the QS Stars rating system, the QS Sustainability rating system, the QS by Subject rating system, and other key areas that contribute to the university's advancement in global rankings.
The discussions also covered strategic development, expanding academic partnerships, using QS’s global scientific network and launching joint research projects.
Later, Mr Khristolyubov held a separate meeting with department heads, presenting a detailed overview of the university's current position in QS rankings and outlining potential growth areas.
Following these meetings, recommendations were made to improve the university's standing in international rankings and key points were identified for inclusion in its strategic plan to enhance its global competitiveness.
