A SERIES OF EVENTS LAUNCHED UNDER “SCIENCE MONTH”

The development of science plays a key role in strengthening the state. In recent years, special attention has been paid to the scientific sphere in Kazakhstan. The volume of funding for scientific research has increased significantly, a modern research infrastructure is being developed, and scientists' salaries are rising. A state programme provides young specialists with housing and more opportunities for internships and exchanges at leading universities and research centres around the world.
Today, the traditional event "April - Month of Science", dedicated to the Day of Scientific Workers of Kazakhstan, was officially launched at the M. Auezov South Kazakhstan University. As part of the programme, scientists presented their achievements and recent developments.
At the opening ceremony, the Chairman of the Board and Rector of the University, Darkhan Ahmed-Zaki, congratulated all participants on the start of the Month of Science. The Director of the Institute of Natural and Technical Research, Zhambyl Aimenov, spoke about the new tasks and priorities for the country's scientists. The Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation, Ulan Suleimenov, presented information on the scientific potential of the university and the innovative projects currently being implemented.
As part of the programme, an exhibition of scientific achievements named "Open Space" was organised. Darkhan Akhmed-Zaki personally familiarised himself with the scientific projects and developments presented by the university's researchers.
Throughout the Month of Science, the University will host international scientific and practical conferences, seminars, a student forum, an exhibition of students' scientific projects, the traditional "Auezov Readings" dedicated to the 180th anniversary of the birth of the great Abai, as well as a number of other events.
