The spring sun shone over the southern skies, filling each day of the Nauryz celebrations with warmth and joy. Today, the faculty and students of M. Auezov South Kazakhstan University  celebrated Nauryz - the Great Day of the Ulus. The air was filled with the melodies of traditional songs, dances, and poetic competitions among Akyns created festive atmosphere. The guests of the event were welcomed by the chairman of the board and rector of the university, Darkhan Ahmed-Zaki. 

"Since gaining independence, Nauryz celebration has become a beloved holiday for all Kazakhstanis. Our wise people have long called this day a time of renewal. It is not only the awakening of nature but also a holiday that strengthens unity, peace, and harmony in society. Since last year, on the initiative of the President, Nauryz has been celebrated in a new format called 'Nauryznama.' From the bottom of my heart, I congratulate everyone on this bright spring holiday. May all your dreams come true, and may your hopes be fulfilled!" said Darkhan Zhumakanovich in his welcoming speech.

The celebrations continued with performances of national songs, folk dances and competitions in traditional sports, with the winners receiving valuable prizes

As part of the celebrations, an “auyzashar” (fast-breaking meal) was organized. As everyone gathered around the “dastarkhan” (feast table), they wished for peace, stability in the country, and strong unity among the people.
