"80 DAYS - 80 GOOD DEEDS": AN "OPEN DOOR" DAY WAS ORGANIZED TO PROVIDE PROFESSIONAL GUIDANCE TO STUDENTS
As part of the "80 Days - 80 Good Deeds" campaign, launched at the Military Department of our university to mark the Defenders of the Fatherland Day and the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory, an "Open Door" Day was organized to provide professional guidance to students of colleges and schools of Shymkent. A total of about 2,000 students from 85 schools and 17 colleges participated in the event.
The first vice-rector of the M. Auezov Higher Educational Institution, Mr. K. Sarykulov, Chairman of the Shymkent City Veterans Council of the “Veterans of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan” RKB, retired colonel S. Onbayev, Head of the Shymkent City Department of Defense Affairs, colonel A. Shegebayev, Head of the Military Department, colonel Zh. Kenzhebayev delivered congratulatory speeches and shared their thoughts on patriotic education, raising the patriotic spirit, and instilling patriotic values in generations.
At the patriotic event, the winners of the competition among students on the theme “80 years of the Great Victory: memory, pride, heritage” were awarded. In addition, an exhibition of military equipment, weapons and RBM devices of the Military Department was presented to the visitors, and exercises were demonstrated at the shooting range.
The students who participated in the event expressed their interest in the military profession and their intention to enter Auezov University.
