On May 21, 2018, according to the Department of  Language Development for 2017-2018, " The best interpreter " contest was organized among faculties and teachers of the Higher School.

The main purpose of the contest was to identify the teachers who could translate written translations from Kazakh, Russian and English into the teaching staff of M.Auezov SKSU, to understand the importance of language fluency, to encourage teachers who have fluent languages and the ability to translate.

The contest was held in the form of written translation of technical and humanitarian texts between Kazakh, Russian and English languages.

The volume of translation was 1 page in A4 format, and the teachers were given 2 hours. Although teachers are permitted to use industry-specific terminology dictionaries, but using electronic devices such as mobile phones, tablets were strictly prohibited. At the contest, only 14 teachers were trained and their works were evaluated according to the criteria for evaluating the quality of translation: on the completeness of the translation; on the alternatively; the translation of article title;  the translation of abbreviations; the translation of proper nouns; foreign companies and the translation other titles.

Experts from the Department of Language Development have been analyzed and selected the best. According to the experts, the grand prize is awarded to the teacher J.K.Dzhanmuldaeva of the Department of Chemical Technology of inorganic substances of the Higher School of Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology, the 1st place is awarded to the teacher D.T.Pazylova of the Department of  High Mathematics and Physics for Technical Specialities, Faculty Mechanical and petroleum engineering, the 2nd place is awarded to the teacher Zh.Aitulova of the Department "Technologies of cement, ceramics and glass" at the Higher School of Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology, the 3rd place is awarded to the teacher A.Egenova of the Department of Information systems and modeling of Information technology and energetic scientific school.

Four best works were awarded special letters of gratitude and valuable prizes. We sincerely congratulate our winners and wish them success in the future!
