Senate Deputy Darkhan Kydyrali delivers a lecture to Young Scholars at Auezov University

Today, South Kazakhstan University named after M. Auezov hosted a meeting with a distinguished guest — Member of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Doctor of Historical Sciences, and academician of the National Academy of Sciences, Darkhan Kydyrali. He held a lecture for the university’s master's and doctoral students.
At the start of the event, the university's chairman of the board and rector, Darkhan Akhmed-Zaki, greeted Mr.Kydyrali and expressed his gratitude for his visit, saying that such meetings are valuable opportunities for young researchers committed to academic growth.
In his lecture, the speaker shared personal experiences and insights that could guide aspiring scholars. He spoke about the legacy of Mukhtar Auezov in shaping national thought and cultural identity, emphasising the importance of integrity and responsibility for those who choose a career in science.
Particular attention was given to academic ethics, with a focus on honesty and openness as essential qualities of a true researcher. He encouraged students to seek knowledge, think critically, and remain faithful to the principles of academic integrity.
As the saying goes, “A person chooses a topic, but the topic opens up opportunities for the person. And that is very true. The choice of subject not only shapes your research direction, but also your professional development”- said the speaker.
Following the lecture, young scholars had the chance to ask questions and received thoughtful, in-depth answers from the guest speaker.
At the end of his visit, Darkhan Kydyrali was introduced to the work of the university’s new situational centre and the soon-to-be-launched ASU branch. He thanked the team for their initiative and valuable contribution to the project.
As a token of gratitude, the university presented Mr. Kydyrali with a copy of the book Abai: A Transcription Based on the Manuscripts of Murseit Bikeuly', prepared by the university’s researchers.
