Quality Education – The Path to Success

At M. Auezov South Kazakhstan University, the faculty, teaching staff, and students met with Dr. Karimbek Arystanbekovich Kurmanaliev, Doctor of Philology, Academician, Member of the National Kurultai, and Independent Director of the Board of Directors of the National Academy of Sciences under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The theme of the meeting was "Quality Education – The Path to Success". During the discussion, the academician emphasised the importance of education and science as strategic priorities of the state, focusing on the key directions outlined in the Addresses of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and in the resolutions of the National Kurultai.
At the beginning of the meeting, the university's rector and chairman of the board, Darkhan Ahmed-Zaki, expressed his gratitude to Karimbek Kurmanaliev for his visit and highlighted his significant contribution to the development of science and education. Furthermore, the Academic Council of M. Auezov University awarded Academician Karimbek Kurmanaliev the honorary title of “Honorary Professor of M. Auezov South Kazakhstan University”.
In his speech, Karimbek Arystanbekovich elaborated on the specific tasks and strategic directions set out by the President in the fields of education and science. He emphasised that the future of the country lies in advancing science, and noted the importance of developing human capital, introducing innovative approaches and engaging young researchers in scientific activities.
There was an open dialogue with doctoral and master's students, during which participants discussed current issues in science and education. Topics such as youth upbringing, curriculum modernisation, improving the anti-plagiarism system and other important areas were also addressed. Moreover, a number of initiatives were proposed by the scholars and will be reviewed at a later date.
