The international forum «green economy - the main trend of the new decade» was held with the participation of nobel prize laureate Rae Kwon Chung

On December 10, 2022, the International Forum "Green Economy-the main trend of the new decade" was held at the M.Auezov South Kazakhstan University within the framework of the International Conference "Industrial Technologies and Engineering - ICITE – 2022", dedicated to the opening of the "Center for a New Climate Economy named after Rae Kwon Chung." In his welcoming speech, Nobel Prize laureate, Professor Rae Kwon Chung, addressing the forum participants, expressed his best wishes and emphasized the importance of countries' transition to a green economy for the sustainable development of countries. The work of the forum was carried out in accordance with the Concept of transition of the Republic of Kazakhstan to a green economy. This research center is the first institute to introduce a new model of economic development in the countries of Central Asia and the CIS, based on the principles of sustainable development, green technologies and reducing the impact of climate change on the environment.
Scientists from universities and research institutes, domestic and foreign representatives with significant research results were invited to participate in the forum. Leading scientists took part in the panel discussion of the forum and made a report, in particular, Professor of V. Korfanti Upper Silesian University of Economics, Doctor of Economics Stefan Dyrka (Poland), Professor of Tashkent State University of Transport, Doctor of Economics Mavluda Irisbekova (Uzbekistan), technical adviser of Orizon Consulting, PhD Akhmetov Almaz (Japan), Professor of the Department of Ecology of M.Auezov University of South Kazakhstan, Doctor of Technical Sciences Zhekeev Malik (Kazakhstan), Professor of the Department of Water Supply and Sanitation Technology of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Technologies of the Norwegian University of Natural Sciences Harsha Ratnavir (Norway), Professor of the Department of Chemistry of the University of Zagreb Marko Vintsekovich (Croatia) and Professor of the Department of Ecology of the M.Auezov South Kazakhstan University, Candidate of Chemical Sciences Iztleuov Gani (Kazakhstan). At the end of the forum, a general resolution was adopted.
