Purpose of the EP

Training of highly qualified personnel for management bodies and social work institutions capable of effectively carrying out activities on social services, social security, social protection and social support of the population, using fundamental theoretical knowledge and innovative technologies.

The subjects of professional activity of the bachelor “Social Work” is socio-medical, social household, socio-informational, socio-legal, socio-psychological, socio-economic, socio-pedagogical assistance, etc .; social protection (working, unemployed, large families, etc.), social services; social and medical services to the population; psychosocial work.

Learning out comes

LO 1 – Is able to communicate freely in the state, Russian and foreign languages in society and professional environment, understanding the principles and culture of academic writing and honesty.

LO 2 - Demonstrates socio-cultural, professional development based on the formation of ideological, civic, spiritual, social responsibility and decency, methods of scientific and experimental research.

LO 3 - Has information literacy and digital skills, the ability to generalize, analyze and perceive information, setting goals and choosing ways to achieve it.

LO 4 – Is able to use methods and technologies of social work, having practical skills of managerial and organizational work, complex impact on the condition and behavior of various groups of the population and individual citizens in extreme and conflict situations.

LO 5 – Is able to develop proposals for improving social work based on the analysis of individual needs of citizens and assessment of conditions, demonstrating readiness to implement measures to predict and prevent social risks in social services and social assistance measures.

LO 6 – To monitor, draw up a work plan with clients who find themselves in a difficult life situation and carry out intervention to achieve practical goals of social support.

LO 7 – Is able to provide social services and protection by assessing the needs and requirements of social services of clients, based on legislative and other regulatory legal acts.

LO 8 – Is able to use marketing technologies in order to form and develop the social services market, attract attention to social problems, form a positive image of social work and specialists implementing it.

LO 9 – Demonstrates the skills of self-education and a healthy lifestyle, to show the skills of the ability to work in a team.

LO 10 – Is able to conduct trainings aimed at solving social problems, applying scientific, pedagogical and social knowledge in socio–practical and educational activities.
