«Turkestan is a cradle of civilization and culture»
Recently, the pre-University training center together with the College of SKSU organized a meeting evening on the theme "Turkestan – the spiritual capital of the great steppe". At the meeting were invited the famous writer, historian M. Abdakimuli, Chairman of the Uzbek ethnic and cultural Association SKR I. Hashimzhanov, senior curator of the University of S. Beisenov, participated teachers and students.
The meeting was opened by the Director of the College doctor of historical Sciences S.Alibek spoke about the importance of the formation of the Turkestan region, yesterday and the future of the spiritual capital. M. Abdakimuli in his speech, after a survey of the cities of Shymkent and Turkestan, their works presented to the library of the College. And the Chairman of ethno-cultural associations SKR I. Hashimzhanov, commenting on cooperation between the two brotherly countries, said that Turkestan is the common treasure of the Turkish people.
During the meeting, students presented their creativity sang songs, played the dombra.
After the meeting, the Director of the College thanked the guests and awarded the I. Hashimzhanov anniversary medal "SKSU – 75 years". He also noted that such events, which contribute to the spiritual growth of young people, will be continued in the future.
