Today it was held the 2nd IT forum on theme "Modern informational technologies and the strategy of Shymkent Smart development" in Shymkent. The event was organized by the Vice Minister of Digital Development, Innovations and Aerospace Industries of Kazakhstan A.Ospanov, Akim of Shymkent E. Aitakhanov and experts in the field of IT technologies, representatives of Turkestan Province and city local executive bodies, heads of universities.  

Akim of the city said that the purpose of today's forum is to become one of the cities of the developed countries and to develop the digitalization industry.

"The Head of State, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, emphasized the importance of strengthening Kazakhstan's leadership role in Central Asia in the development of communication infrastructure. The purpose of the II Regional IT Forum, which hosted today's Central Asian and European countries, is the implementation of this task. To make Shymkent one of the country's digital centers, we have the necessary base and communication capabilities. We should use it effectively, "said Yerlan Kuanyshuly. And in a number of submitted projects from SKSU named after M. Auezov, further joint work on them was noted as the most demanded. In particular, he was entrusted with the implementation of projects such as “Digitalization of traffic on public transport” and “Automation of electric lighting in residential buildings”.

In addition, speakers from China, Germany, Belarus and Estonia shared their experiences and ideas in IT-technology. In addition, the participants discussed topical issues in this area and discussed the ways and procedures of introducing the achievements of advanced technologies into the system of state bodies, services. During the forum, a number of proposals on digitalization of megapolis were presented and new projects were presented.
