May 13, 2019, the British Ambassador to Kazakhstan  Mr. Michael John Gifford and the political and project officer Ms. Larisa Volkova  met with the First Vice-Rector of M. Auezov South Kazakhstan State University , Candidate of Law Sciences, Professor Kairat Nurmanbetov. The Ambassador was acquainted with the work of the Center of professional development and cooperation in the Scientific-Research Department, which was jointly established with the international organization of "British Council".

Today, the program of the British Council is teaching English to media representatives of the Shymkent city and Turkestan region.

The purpose of training is to improve the quality of knowledge of the language in the media to filter the English-language news and the application of the experience at the national and international levels.

In the meeting discussed the issue of opening on the basis of M. Auezov SKSU Center for passing the tests and certification on English knowledge – IELTS.
