            Waste management is one of the priorities of the global economy. Waste management has become one of the important environmental policies of all countries in the world community. In this regard, the project takes into account the international experience for formation the system for management of production and consumption wastes, which includes a set of principles, methods, means and forms of waste management in order to increase the efficiency of their disposal, neutralization and recycling, as well as to reduce the adverse environmental impact. Due to the fact that the problem of recycling of production and consumption waste is also urgent for the Kazakhstan, this project, taking into account issues and problems of waste management system formation, focuses on increasing the competence of specialists in the field of sustainable waste management, taking into account the needs and activities of existing enterprises in the economy.

In the period from 28th of January till 1st of February the International workshop within the framework of the international program Erasmus + on theme “Intensive Teacher Training and Curriculum Content Planning for e-learning” will take place in the M. Auezov South-Kazakhstan State University, with participation of the leading International scientists from Tampere University of Applied Sciences, Finland, Lillebaelt Academy of Applied Sciences, Denmark, Valladolid University, Spain, Saint Petersburg National Research University of Information technologies, Mechanics and Optics, Tyumen State University, Russia, and leading universities of Kazakhstan by project «Enhancing Competence in Sustainable Waste Management in Universities of Russia and Kazakhstan /EduEnvi».

 The goal of the project is to modernize the scientific and educational process in partner universities in the field of sustainable waste management by introducing  of modularly structured master programs offered in interactive learning environments; e-learning development; strengthening ties and cooperation between universities.

Part of the EduEnvi project is building the capacity of teachers from Kazakhstan and Russia universities in the field of sustainable waste management, in total, the workshop participants will present various areas such as biotechnology, business, economics, physics, waste management and tourism, and they will come from Finland, Denmark, Spain, Russia and Kazakhstan.

Kazakhstan and Russia need more information and qualified specialists in waste management and environmental problems.

It is also important to take into account the point of view of the economy and business.

This project also wants to promote entrepreneurship in this area.

This collaboration also includes companies in Kazakhstan and Russia, and we also need to get feedback from Kazakhstan and Russian companies. Companies represent ecological business, such as waste organizations. We urgently need to update our environmental and waste management skills and knowledge in Kazakhstan and Russia.
