Student Satisfaction with Dormitory Living Conditions at M. Auezov South Kazakhstan University for the 2021–2022 Academic Year





Purpose of the study:
To identify the set of social and psychological factors influencing students’ satisfaction with dormitory living conditions, which directly affects the quality of education at the university.
Objectives of the study:

To assess students’ satisfaction with dormitory living conditions;

To analyze the implementation of educational work with students in the dormitory outside class hours;
-
To identify the main problems students face in the dormitory;
-
To evaluate the living standards of students and their social well-being affecting academic activities.
Location of the study: SKSU dormitories №1, №2, №4, and №5.
Method of data collection: a questionnaire survey among students living in the dormitories.
A total of 580 students participated out of 1,170 residents of dormitories №1, 2, 4, and 5.
The total number of surveyed students amounted to 50%.
