Mentorship in Education: An Effective Learning Model

On January 23, 2026, Barna Makhamatovna Khamitova, Head of the Academic and Methodological Center of M. Auezov South Kazakhstan University, conducted a methodological training seminar titled “Mentorship in Education: An Effective Learning Model” for young lecturers with up to three years of teaching experience.
During the seminar, key issues were discussed, including effective means of sharing knowledge and skills with young lecturers from experienced senior educators, and enhancing teachers’ mentoring technology skills in higher education. The seminar introduced various mentorship models, forms and interaction technologies within the 'mentor–mentee' framework. Leading faculty members also shared their experience of creating optimal conditions to ensure the high-quality development of the mentorship system and of applying effective models that contribute to mentees' professional growth and teaching excellence.
