Artificial Intelligence in Education: New Opportunities

A methodological seminar titled 'Effective Use of Artificial Intelligence in the Educational Process to Improve the Quality of Education and Increase Student Engagement' was held at M. Auezov South Kazakhstan University. The event aimed to discuss the potential of modern technologies in education and share practical experience.
Maksat Yelikbay, Dean of the Faculty of Law, welcomed attendees at the opening of the seminar. He emphasised the importance of artificial intelligence in the development of society, noting that digital transformation is now being actively implemented across all sectors, from public administration to education and law. He also noted that the new draft Constitution places particular emphasis on digitalisation and artificial intelligence.
Botabek Nurmanov, Senior Prosecutor at the Shymkent City Department of the Committee on Legal Statistics and Special Records of the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan, spoke about the digitalisation of prosecutorial activities and the adoption of AI technologies. Through concrete examples, he demonstrated to students the effectiveness and advantages of information technologies in the law enforcement sector.
Erzhan Akmolda, Head of the Cybercrime Investigation Unit of the Investigative Department of the Shymkent City Police Department and Police Colonel, presented a report on the forensic aspects of cyberattacks.
The next speaker was Barno Khamitova, Head of the University's Academic and Methodological Center. She spoke about how AI can be used effectively in education. She mentioned that new technologies can improve education and help students to be more creative and research-oriented.
Additionally, faculty members from the Faculty of Law presented scientific and methodological reports, introducing students to modern approaches and best practices for integrating artificial intelligence tools into the learning process.
