Main directions of the research laboratory:
The main functions of the research laboratory “Silicate, Construction Materials and Ecology” are:
- priority development of fundamental, applied, and exploratory research, as well as the development and creation of fundamentally new equipment and technologies.
- Participation in conducting R&D and experimental design work necessary for the development and implementation of standards and other regulatory documents in the field of silicate and construction materials, construction, and architecture;
• Provision of services to university departments within its area of activity and submission of information on the results in accordance with established procedures;
• Conclusion of commercial contracts with industrial enterprises, scientific and educational institutions, commercial firms, and companies for the development and transfer of business projects;
• Development of promising forms of scientific and technical cooperation with sectors of the national economy, educational institutions, and foreign companies for joint research in the field of silicate and construction materials and ecology. - Provision of contracted services to enterprises, business entities, and individuals for conducting research and implementing innovations in production;
• Creation of an innovation infrastructure that ensures the development and implementation of priority areas in silicate and construction materials and ecology, as well as the training of scientific personnel and highly qualified specialists.
- provision of consulting services in scientific, production, and innovation activities.
- Participation in the review of materials prepared for open publication to prevent premature disclosure of information about technical solutions that may be recognized as inventions;
• Improving the quality of specialist training through active use of R&D results in the educational process, with extensive involvement of students in performing contractual and state-funded R&D projects. - Organization of advanced training for specialists of the “SCM&E”research laboratory and their certification in accordance with current recommendations and regulations;
• Training students in methods and tools for independently solving scientific and construction materials problems, as well as developing skills for working in research teams;
• Facilitating the successful resolution of current scientific problems in the field of construction materials. - Use of funds for charitable purposes;
- Engagement in other activities not prohibited by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.




Research and development activities conducted at the laboratory.
Under the leadership of B.K. Sarsenbayev, during the reporting year, joint scientific research has been carried out together with scientists from the Satbayev University (Kazakh National Research Technical University named after K.I. Satbayev) and the Research Laboratory "Silicate and Construction Materials and Ecology" of M. Auezov South Kazakhstan University within the framework of program-targeted funding of the project BR21882292 “Integrated development of a sustainable construction industry: innovative technologies, production optimization, efficient use of resources, and the creation of a technology park.”
Staff members of M. Auezov South Kazakhstan University from the Departments of Ecology; Silicate Technology and Metallurgy; Life Safety and Environmental Protection; and Architecture and Urban Planning are participating in the development of the program.
In 2025, the construction of a workshop for the production of low-clinker finely ground cements was completed at “Taraz Cement Stroy” LLP, located in the city of Taraz, under Grant Agreement No. 40 dated December 8, 2022, issued by the Science Fund JSC for the commercialization of R&D results. The project corresponds to topic No. AR15573148 “Organization of the production of low-clinker finely ground cements based on industrial waste.” The workshop was built with the support of the Grant Recipient/Private Partner “NE Innovation Technology” LLP. The production capacity of the workshop is 60 tons per shift.
On April 12, 2025, at the Kazakh National Research Technical University named after K.I. Satbayev, a memorandum on the creation of spin-off/startup companies was signed between M. Auezov South Kazakhstan University, NE Innovation Technology LLP, Satbayev University, and the project section №6 leader B.K. Sarsenbayev.
At present, the commissioning work for the launch of the workshop for the production of non-fired cements and products based on them under project BR21882292 “Integrated development of a sustainable construction industry: innovative technologies, production optimization, efficient use of resources, and creation of a technology park” has been completed.







12.04.2025 года в НАО «Казахский национальный исследовательский технический университет имени К.И. Сатпаева» подписан мемрандум по создание спин-офф/стартап компаний между НАО «ЮКУ имени М.Ауэзова», ТОО «NE Innovation Technology», НАО КАЗНИТУ им. К.И.Сатпаева и руководителям проекта раздела №6 Сарсенбаева Б.К.



В настоящее время производятся пусконаладочные работы по запуску цеха для выпуска безобжиговых цементов и изделий на их основе по теме BR21882292 "Интегрированное развитие устойчивой строительной отрасли: инновационные технологии, оптимизация производства, эффективное использование ресурсов и создание технологического парка»
