“Honour and Service”: International Conference in Memory of Shayakhmet Moldabekov Begins at M. Auezov South Kazakhstan Research University

The 29th International Scientific and Practical Conference of Young Scientists and Students, titled "Chemical Technology, Biotechnology, and Pharmaceutical Production in the 21st Century", has started at M. Auezov South Kazakhstan Research University.
This large-scale event is dedicated to the memory of the renowned scholar, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor and Academician of the National Engineering Academy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as Rector of the Kazakh Chemical-Technological Institute from 1980 to 1988, Shayakhmet Moldabekov.
Vice-Rector for Social and Educational Affairs Gani Besbayev officially launched the conference, highlighting Shayakhmet Moldabekov’s significant contributions to science and education.
Academics from abroad and various regions of Kazakhstan are participating in the conference. The late scholar’s close relatives, daughters, students and colleagues also attended the event, sharing heartfelt memories.
An exhibition titled 'Honour and Service' was also organised as part of the event, featuring materials about Shayakhmet Moldabekov’s life and scientific work.
The conference will last three days. During this time, sectional meetings will be held at which young researchers will present their scientific reports. On the final day, the authors of the best works will be awarded prizes.
