The French Ambassador to Kazakhstan, Sylvain Guiaugue, recently visited M. Auezov South Kazakhstan University.

France has been one of Kazakhstan’s most trusted and strategic partners within the European Union for the past 34 years. During the Ambassador’s visit, discussions focused on plans to strengthen cooperation in higher education and  scientific research.

The visit began with the delegation touring the French Alliance in Shymkent, an educational center affiliated with the university. Guests were introduced to its activities and upcoming plans. This was followed by a bilateral meeting where university leaders and the Ambassador explored potential joint projects. Key topics included internationalization, academic mobility programs, dual-degree opportunities, and professional development for faculty members.

Ambassador Guiaugue expressed his support for the university’s initiatives and projects. The visit concluded with an exchange of commemorative gifts between the parties.
