COOPERATION IN EDUCATION AND SCIENCE WILL BE STRENGTHENED

Today the management staff and scientists of Mukhtar Auezov South Kazakhstan University met with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Republic of Kazakhstan Mr. Chatchawan Sakornsin. At the round table the parties discussed issues of educational cooperation in the field of tourism and hospitality.
Thanking the guest of honor, Acting Chairman of the Board-Rector of Auezov University Kairat Nurmanbetov spoke about the potential of the third megacity of Kazakhstan and the possibilities of the university.
"Thailand and Kazakhstan officially established diplomatic relations 32 years ago. And the world-famous tourist city of Pattaya has been Shymkent's sister city for 20 years. We aim to realize big projects to improve relations in the educational and enlightenment direction. That is why we have come with specific proposals. We invite students of the Faculty of Sport and Tourism for short courses and exchange of experience in the leading educational institutions of our country. We would also like our students to have an opportunity to participate in educational programs of Auez University. To strengthen friendly relations between the two countries, we offer your institution a project to open cultural and book corners," said Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to Kazakhstan Chatchawan Sakornsin.
Kairat Nurmanbetov expressed his willingness to build partnerships within the framework of the academic mobility program, double-diploma training, research work. In the future these projects will be worked out, the parties agreed on negotiations.
During the meeting, Chatchawan Sakornsin familiarized himself with the university building and its scientific and facilities.
