Out students showed their own projects in StartUp conference in Almaty

On March 28-29, 2023 in Astana, on the basis of the joint-stock company "Nazarbayev University" in the department of the "Office of Sustainable Development" (Sustainability Living Lab), a conference was held on the results of the implementation of student startup projects, as well as the exchange of experience between the winners.
On the first day of the conference, a number of scientific lectures were held by leading professors of the world and the Republic of Kazakhstan, on the second day, participants were given the opportunity to present the results of their work. At the end of the meeting, the winners of startup projects were awarded certificates from representatives of Chevron.
The conference was attended by the winners who won grants for the development of startup projects in 2022 from the team of M.Auezov South Kazakhstan University:
1. Zhandos Yerasyl is a student of the bachelor's degree program "Ecology" with a startup project "Ecobesedka" with a funding amount of 800,000 tenge.
2. Syzdykova Marzhan is a doctoral student of the doctoral program "Ecology", a startup project "Generating electricity using green plants" with a funding amount of 800,000 tenge.
It should be noted that startup projects are implemented by the National Conservation Initiative Foundation with the sponsorship of Nazarbayev University and Chevron NefteGaz Inc.
The scientific supervisor of the projects is Professor of the Department of Ecology, Higher School of Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology, Shingisbayeva Zh. A.
