How to catch the ivy league: universities in the age of innovation

Today, the Nobel Fest has become the pride of Kazakhstan, Columbia University Professor Jeffrey Sachs noted: “The Nobel Festival is an example of Kazakhstan's national leadership. Thanks to Nobel Fest, Kazakhstan will have its own science stars and Nobel laureates in the future.” This is the highest rating of the event and the beginning of a new historical page in the science of Kazakhstan.
For sure, from such projects the competitiveness of universities begins, capable of training specialists who can withstand competition in the labor market, which is also one of the tasks of the New National Project “Quality Education” Educated Nation”.
On the first day of the festival, a discussion platform was organized for rectors of the country's universities. In the studio of the festival, as speakers, the following guests spoke and led a discussion about the prospects for the development of domestic universities:
- Ulanbator Suleimenov, Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation, M. Auezov South Kazakhstan State University;
- Yerlan Nyssanbayev, Deputy Chairman of the Board of S. Seifullin Kazakh Agrotechnical University;
- Bakytzhan Abdraim, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Astana Medical University;
- Gulzada Shakulikova, Chairman of the Board - Rector of NAO “Safi Utebaev Atyrau University of Oil and Gas”.
The session was conducted by Sayassat Nurbek, an expert in the field of education, Deputy of the Majilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
During the work of this session, the participants noted that only those universities that “keep up” with modern trends and breakthrough ideas, creating productive human capital, having a developed ecosystem, transforming into a digital university, can take leadership positions in the global educational space of higher education .
