The Akademik football club was organized in 1979 by the young teachers of KazHTI. The main objective of the club was to promote healthy lifestyles.

This year the Akademik KazHTI team participates in regional competitions held by the LLF (League of football fans over 50 years old). Games are held on Saturdays at the «Miras» Sport Complex.
