On April 3-4, 2019 in Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools of  Chemistry and Biology in Shymkent was held a 2-day Republican seminar on the topic: «New spelling: structure and content», in which the lecture «Reform of writing in Kazakhstan: problems and future» was given. The purpose of the event was training of qualified teachers who are able to teach an adult audience the scientific basis of spelling rules, the structure of the Kazakh alphabet and the new spelling rules. The event was also attended by the head of the Department of language development on the basis of M. Auezov SKSU A.Zhamantayeva. She listened to the lectures of the leading researchers of the Department of applied linguistics of the National scientific and practical center «Til –Kazyna» named after Sh.Shayakhmetov, c.ph.s. D.Yskak and assistant professor of the Department of Kazakh and Turkish languages of Nazarbayev University in Nur -Sultan, c.ph.s. Zh.A.Agabekova on 6 topics on the basis of teaching new spelling by educational and methodical manual, learned them in practice, acquired the skills of reading and spelling. News in the spelling of the new alphabet, considered in the framework of the national seminar, can be used in language courses organized by the Department of language development. At the end of the seminar A.A.Zhamantayeva was awarded by a certificate.
