A national scientific and practical conference titled "Evolution of Geological Exploration in Kazakhstan: Innovations and Prospects" has opened in Shymkent. The conference is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the statesman, public figure, prominent scholar, Academician, and Doctor of Geological and Mineralogical Sciences Shakhmardan Yesenov. Shakhmardan Yesenov’s scientific legacy represents an immense contribution to the development of domestic geological science and serves as a vital role model for future researchers and engineers.

The conference has brought together the country’s scientific community, representatives of government agencies, industrial enterprises, leading specialists in the oil and gas and geological exploration sectors, as well as scientists and experts from various regions of Kazakhstan. Scholars from M. Auezov SKU are also participating in the conference.

During the plenary and breakout sessions, participants will discuss key issues regarding the development of the geological sector, modern technologies for mineral exploration, digitalization, innovative approaches, and the rational development of subsoil resources.
