French Alliance

The Alliance Française of Shymkent is a cultural and educational organization committed to fostering Franco-Kazakh cooperation, promoting the French language and culture, and implementing joint projects in education and the arts. We create engaging opportunities for learning and cultural exchange, connecting people through language, creativity, and collaboration.

Our programs and activities include:

• French language courses for all levels, from beginners to advanced learners.
• Cultural events and creative workshops that immerse participants in French culture.
• Film screenings and thematic gatherings to explore the francophone world.
• Collaboration with French and Kazakhstani institutions to develop joint educational and cultural projects.

Academic Sessions

We offer 4 academic sessions per year, providing flexible learning formats:

• 1 intensive session for rapid progress;
• 3 extensive sessions for steady and comfortable learning.

Each session lasts 2.5 months.

Our Programs

We create an environment for comprehensive language acquisition and immersion in Francophone culture.

Educational Programs

• French language courses for levels A1–C1, developed according to modern international standards.
• Access to additional learning materials and methodological support from instructors.

Speaking Practice

• Weekly conversation clubs with a native French speaker.
• Twice a month — specialized clubs for advanced learners.
• Twice a month — French film discussion clubs to develop listening and analytical skills.

Cultural & Educational Environment

• A Francophone media library and digital library.
• Cultural events, thematic contests, and creative projects.
• Once a month — expert round tables featuring invited guests from France, including representatives of major companies, international organizations, and the public sector.
