Rector meets renowned scientist Kurmanbek Zhantasov

Mukhtar Tolegen, Chairman of the Board - Rector of Auezov South Kazakhstan Research University, met with Kurmanbek Zhantasov, a distinguished figure in Kazakhstan’s chemical science, Laureate of the State Prize, recipient of the Order of “Kurmet” Honorary Professor of the University and chemical technologist.
Kurmanbek Zhantasov is a remarkable scholar who devoted his life to Auezov University and made an outstanding contribution to educating highly qualified specialists and advancing science in Kazakhstan. Today he continues to devote his efforts to expanding the university’s research laboratory “Inorganic Salts, Plant Protection and Growth Stimulants”.
During the meeting the current status of a large-scale commercial project led by the scientist and funded through the Science Fund JSC was discussed in detail. The scientist put forward a number of relevant and practical proposals aimed at accelerating scientific and production processes.
In particular:
Accelerating laboratory research: Speeding up the procurement and legal processing of precursors that are essential for conducting scientific research;
Reducing bureaucratic barriers: Establishing clear timelines for the Accounting Department to provide departments with the necessary materials and resources;
Supporting the technical infrastructure: Including a full-time instrumentation and automation (KIP&A) specialist in the staffing structure to ensure the timely repair and calibration of measuring and control equipment in department laboratories.
Chairman of the Board - Rector Mukhtar Tolegen noted that the university is always ready to support any innovative project that can benefit society and open up new opportunities. He also stated that he would personally oversee the implementation of positive decisions regarding the proposals put forward by the scholar and educator.
