New composition of the academic council: new milestones and key decisions

Today a general meeting was held to elect the new composition of the Academic Council of Mukhtar Auezov South Kazakhstan University.
The meeting was of particular importance for the university’s development as the new 45 member Academic Council the university’s highest collegial governing body was elected and plans for future activities were discussed.
As noted above the meeting discussed changes to the new composition of the Academic Council and outlined key tasks for improving the quality of education, strengthening research activities developing human resources and enhancing the integration of education and science at the university.
Creating a modern research and educational environment is one of the university’s strategic goals. In this regard particular attention will be paid to supporting research projects, expanding opportunities for researchers, developing international scientific cooperation and introducing research results into industry.
In conclusion the meeting unanimously supported the proposal to name the university’s television studio after Baidulla Konysbek, a renowned journalist and prominent figure in the television and radio industry. This is an important step aimed at developing the university’s information and educational activities and promoting the name and legacy of a prominent representative of the region who made a significant contribution to Kazakh journalism and the media sector among the younger generation.
We are confident that the newly formed Academic Council of the university will make every effort to implement the university’s strategic objectives and new initiatives in line with the modern requirements of higher education.
