About 8000 people took part in the mass marathon held in Shymkent. This international sporting event promoting health and an active lifestyle, brought together runners from different regions of Kazakhstan as well as about 500 foreign participants from 15 countries around the world.

The staff of Mukhtar Auezov South Kazakhstan Research University also actively participated in this large scale event. The university’s faculty members, employees and students took part in the race, contributing to the development of mass sports.

The university leadership emphasized that not only education and science, but also the development of a healthy and active generation is one of the university’s main values.

The sporting event brought participants a positive mood and once again demonstrated the importance of a healthy lifestyle and unity.
