“Auezov Readings – 24”: International Scientific and Practical Conference Begins

Today, M. Auezov South Kazakhstan University launched the international scientific and practical conference titled “Auezov Readings – 24: Kazakhstan in the Era of Artificial Intelligence: Key Challenges and Solutions Through Digital Transformation”.

This major scientific event has brought together leading scientists, experts and media representatives from the USA, Malaysia, Uzbekistan, Russia and other countries. Professors, faculty members and researchers from Kazakhstani and international universities and research institutes who have achieved significant results in their scientific fields also attended the conference.

Zhambyl Aimenov, Director of the Research Institute of Chemical Technology, moderated the conference. In his opening address, Aimenov emphasised that the conference's primary goal is to establish a new knowledge hub in Kazakhstan and foster sustainable scientific cooperation in Central Asia by collaborating with international scholars. During the event, key international guests and scientists delivered reports addressing pressing issues in the development of science and digital technologies. Notable speakers included:

- Esbergen Orazuly Alaukhanov, Doctor of Law, Professor and Full Member (Academician) of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

- Mukhit Abutalipuly Kemelov, Head of the Digitalisation Department of Shymkent City;

- Khilola Khudaybergenovna Matniyazova, Doctor of Biological Sciences and Professor at Chirchik State Pedagogical University (Uzbekistan);

- Nurbek Achilov, Researcher at "Innoker" LLC and Kazakhstan representative of Sky Radar;

- Gulnar Zhanysbekova, Candidate of Historical Sciences and Head of the Modernisation of Public Consciousness Department at Auezov University;

- Azimkhan Issabek, Official Representative of Auezov University, Young Scientist and Doctoral Student.
The speakers raised a variety of critical issues across different fields, including artificial intelligence, digitalisation, technology, history and philology.

Notably, the plenary session focused on key strategic challenges. Afterwards, researchers will present their findings in specialised breakout sessions.
