Auezov University students win awards at French poetry contest

On 3 April, the A. S. Pushkin City Universal Library hosted a French poetry competition titled “The Four Seasons” as part of the international cultural festival 'Francophonie Spring', dedicated to promoting the French language and Francophone culture.
Kaldykul Baltabaevna Ilyasova, Senior French Lecturer in the Department of Modern Languages and Translation Studies, Faculty of Philology, guided students from the department to deliver outstanding performances.
Togzhan Taubay, group FI-24-3k5 was awarded first place and a 100% full scholarship for the summer session at Alliance Française de Shymkent.
Aida Alkanbayeva, from Group FI-25-4kr, was awarded third place and a 25% tuition discount for the summer session at Alliance Française de Shymkent.
Guliyara Saidullayeva, group FI-24-3k5, is the winner of the "Meilleure prononciation" award.
Polina Dubovik, group FI-25-4kr, is the winner of the "Meilleure émotion" award.
The event served as an excellent platform for enhancing the students' practical language skills, fostering their creative abilities and strengthening their intercultural communication skills. Beyond refining their linguistic proficiency, the competition enabled participants to express themselves with confidence and nuance, and to deepen their appreciation of Francophone heritage.
