Law enforcement officers used cinema to demonstrate the consequences of offences to young people, encouraging them to reflect on their choices and actions. As part of the 'Law and Order' awareness initiative, short films titled 'Not Bookmarks'  and 'Bully Girl', produced by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, were screened for students at Auezov University.

The social drama Not Bookmarks, based on true events, tells the tragic story of a teenager who becomes a drug courier in pursuit of easy money and faces severe legal accountability. Meanwhile, the film Bully Girl uses the journey of its main character, Darina, to illustrate the irreversible consequences that can arise from youth aggression and disregard for social norms.

Following the screening, there was an interactive discussion with prosecutors from the Al-Farabi District Prosecutor's Office of Shymkent and officers from the City Police Department. The experts analysed the key legal aspects of each film in detail and answered questions about criminal and civil liability.

This event was designed to raise legal literacy among students and foster a deep respect for the law.
