After returning from an educational expedition dedicated to the 185th anniversary of the great intellectual and educator Ybyrai Altynsarin, Auezov University activists met with the university leadership.
During the eight-day trip, the students travelled along the Shymkent–Turkestan–Kyzylorda–Zhezkazgan–Ulytau–Arkalyk–Kostanay–Karabutak–Aral–Baikonur route, visiting historical and cultural sites along the way. The trip aimed to spark young people's interest in Kazakhstan's history, foster interregional ties, and promote Ybyrai Altynsarin's educational legacy.
During the meeting, the Director of the Youth Center, Erasyl Anarkhanuly, presented the results of the expedition and thanked the university leadership for providing this opportunity to young people.
In turn, the Acting Chairman of the Board and Rector, Gani Besbayev, congratulated the activists on successfully completing the trip and emphasised the importance of such initiatives.
“Every region of Kazakhstan has a living history to offer and valuable lessons to teach, so young people should not be limited to their own region. It is important to study other areas of our country as well. The main value of such expeditions is the opportunity to see historical monuments in person, build a new network and exchange experiences. In the future, we plan to make such projects annual,” he said.
At the end of the meeting, the expedition participants shared their impressions and presented the university leadership with gifts collected during the trip.
