Information session held on international education and research internship opportunities

An information and outreach session on the support measures available to scientists under the 'Bolashak' international scholarship program was held at M. Auezov South Kazakhstan University. The event aimed to introduce domestic scientists and young researchers to the wide range of international education and research internship opportunities available. Faculty members, young scientists and master's and doctoral students attended the session.
Kurmangaly Sarykulov, Member of the Board and First Vice-Rector of the University, opened the event, noting the immense value of the session. The keynote speaker was Kaisar Erkinbaev, Deputy Chairman of the Center for International Programs. He noted that the 'Bolashak' program has trained over 14,000 specialists to date and highlighted its significant contribution to developing our country's human resources.
Kaisar Kairatuly provided a detailed explanation of the various options within the 'Bolashak' program and the specifics of research internships, also highlighting recent regulatory changes. He also announced that collateral mechanisms for 'Bolashak' applicants have been streamlined, as the requirement to provide real estate as security has been abolished. The speaker also outlined the competition's terms, participant categories, selection stages, core applicant criteria and document submission process.
During the meeting, master's and doctoral students asked questions about language requirements, scholarship stipends, the selection criteria for foreign host institutions, university rankings and the application procedure. They received comprehensive and detailed answers to all their questions.
