"Belt and Road" China Center for the Business Environment Services opens at Auezov university

The "Belt and Road" China Center for the Development of Business Environment Services has officially opened at M. Auezov South Kazakhstan University. The opening ceremony aimed to foster cooperation in education, science, expertise and business between Kazakhstan and China. It was attended by scholars from Northwest University of Political Science and Law (PRC), representatives of the 'Ontustik' Special Economic Zone Management Company, members of the business community and university faculty.
'We view the launch of the China Center at Auezov University as a new milestone in international academic cooperation, as well as a vital strategic platform for fostering entrepreneurial ties, improving the business environment and promoting economic interaction between Kazakhstan and China.' There are currently over 100 Chinese companies operating in Shymkent. As every state has its own legal and legislative specifics, our Faculty of Law experts will provide comprehensive support and legal consultations to entrepreneurs from both countries at this new center. These legal support services will be conducted on a scientific basis," stated Darkhan Ahmed-Zaki, Auezov University's Chairman of the Board and Rector.
Professor Wang Yingying of the Northwest University of Political Science and Law noted that the China Center is intended to be a long-term international platform and is set to become a leading regional hub for cooperation between Kazakhstan and China in Central Asia.
As well as providing consulting services to Kazakhstani and Chinese companies, the center will organise joint scientific research, international forums, expert meetings and educational programs, and promote academic mobility and joint workforce training.
Furthermore, the project offers new opportunities to strengthen the strategic partnership between Shymkent and Xi'an by expanding collaboration in the humanitarian, scientific, educational and economic sectors.
