The winners of the nationwide “Reading Nation” project, held in Astana to mark National Book Day, have been officially announced and honored at a special ceremony. We are proud to share that students of M. Auezov South Kazakhstan University are among this year’s top achievers.
The award ceremony was attended by Chairman of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Chairman of the AMANAT Party, Erlan Koshanov, who personally presented awards to the outstanding participants. The national competition was held across six categories: “Reading Family,” “Reading Civil Servant,” “Reading University,” “Reading College,” “Reading School,” and “Reading Teacher.”
In the “Reading University” category, students from eight higher education institutions in Shymkent competed, with representatives of M. Auezov South Kazakhstan University - from both Kazakh and Russian leagues - taking first place. The winners are:
Azamat Kanadillayev
Erasyl Aimakhan
Denis Umnov
Darina Abilkasim
The winning team was awarded a certificate worth 1 million tenge.
It is worth noting that nearly 190,000 participants from Shymkent, as well as Karaganda and Kostanay regions, took part in the nationwide marathon organized by the AMANAT Party. Over the eight-month pilot period, participants collectively read around 2 million books.
We sincerely congratulate our students on their outstanding achievement!
We wish our talented youth continued success and new accomplishments that will further elevate the reputation of our university.
