Analytical Report on the Survey Results: “Students’ Evaluation of Living Conditions on campuses of the South Kazakhstan Research University” (for 2025–2026 Academic Year)
The survey was conducted by Sociological Research Department from October 10to October 15, in 2025, under the study titled “Students’ Evaluation of Living Conditions on campuses of the South Kazakhstan Research University”.
Purpose of the study:
To identify the range of social and psychological factors influencing students’ evaluation of living conditions in student residences, which directly affects the quality of education in higher education institutions.
The purpose of research: to identify the range of social and psychological factors influencing students’ evaluation of living conditions in university campuses, which directly affects the quality of education in higher education/academic institutions. Tasks of research: * To assess students’ evaluation of living conditions on campuses; * To analyze the effectiveness of extracurricular and educational activities organized for students residing in residence halls; * To identify the major challenges faced by students living on campuses; * To evaluate students’ standard of living and the conditions affecting their socio-psychological well-being in relation to their academic activities.
Research setting: The survey was conducted on campuses № 1, 4, and 5, as well as in private student’s accommodation facilities where students of M. Auezov South Kazakhstan Research University reside, including Individual entrepreneur “Shartal”, “Sunrise”, and Campus № 3.
A total of 1340 students out of 2141 residents living on campuses № 1, 4, and 5, as well as in “Shartal”, “Sunrise”, and Campus № 3 participated in the survey. The overall percentage of surveyed students amounted to 62.7%.
The report was reviewed at a meeting of the Deans’ Council held on November 5, in 2025 (Minutes №. 4).
